Remove/Install Wiper Motor

Removing and Installing Wiper Motor

When performing work on the wiper system, remove the ignition key. The park position automatic control may be activated as a result of movements at the wiper arm or wiper linkage as from ignition key position "1". This might result in hand injuries.

Removal

1. Pull off cover for the coupling at the wiper motor in direction of arrow.

2. Unplug coupling at wiper motor.

3 Remove cover below the instrument panel.

4. Slacken hexagonal nut (1) and press off crank.

5. Unscrew securing nut (3).

Installing

Note: Before installing the wiper motor (3), replace the rubber seal and the serrated rings and the three securing pins.

7. Installation of the wiper motor is performed in reverse order.

Note: The wiper motor must be in the park position. Plug in coupling and allow wiper motor to run to park position, if necessary.

8. Fit crank arm (2) onto wiper motor shaft and align.
