SUBJECT: ENERGY ACCUMULATOR CORROSION (SRS INDICATOR LAMP FLICKERS OR STAYS ON) MODEL 107 AS OF MODEL YEAR 1985
As of mid-September 1986 production the energy accumulator is now installed with the connector facing downward. Door and soft top lid seals are more thoroughly inspected to verify proper installation.
Damaged door and soft top lid seals can allow water to enter the soft top well compartment. Water can then drip onto the energy accumulator and connector, causing corrosion.
