Installation

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

Expansion Valve (4):

1. Mount expansion valve (4) on evaporator.
2. Screw-on evaporator (11) in air conditioning unit by means of hex screws (15).



3. Slip slide piece (13) on air conditioner unit. At the left, between evaporator pipes, pay attention to perfect sealing between evaporator pipes and slide piece (13).



4. Slip capillary (15) of ETR switch in-between ribs of evaporator up to mark. Then glue a moltoprene strip (arrow) on capillary and on evaporator ribs.
5. Install heat exchanger.
6. Install heater box.



7. Mount condensate drain hoses (1 and 3) on air conditioner unit and guide through grommets in tunnel.
8. Evacuate air conditioning system, fill up again, check for function and leaks.

TIGHTENING TORQUES:
Pressure hose to expansion valve:
with Cu seal: 30±5 Nm (3.0±0.5 kpm)
without Cu seal: 45±5 Nm (4.5±0.5 kpm)
Compensating line on evaporator:
with Cu seal: 17±2 Nm (1.7±0.2 kpm)
Expansion valve on evaporator:
with Cu seal: 45±5 Nm (4.5±0.5 kpm)
without Cu seal: 55±5 Nm (5.5±0.5 kpm)
Suction hose on evaporator pipe:
with Cu seal: 60±5 Nm (6.0±0.5 kpm)
without Cu seal: 70±5 Nm (7.0±0.5 kpm)
