Test Step #9 - Pressure Holding

TEST PROCEDURE:
With ignition on, rotate switch to position #8. Turn front left wheel then press and hold the (P=) button while depressing the brake pedal. Repeat test with switch in position #9 for right front and #10 for rear wheels.

RESULTS POSSIBLE CAUSES REMEDY

No Fault Found
- Battery LED on
- Alternator LED on
- Solenoid valve LED on
- ABS indicator lamp off
- Wheel should permit turning
Go to TEST STEP #10


Fault Found
- Battery LED off Motor relay defective, Replace motor relay,
- Alternator LED off Return pump defective, Replace hydraulic unit
- Solenoid valve LED off Solenoid valve defective
- ABS indicator lamp on
- Wheel should not permit turning
