Test Step #10 - Pressure Reduction

TEST PROCEDURE:
With ignition on and switch in position #8. Press the brake pedal and press and hold the (P=) button. Turn left front wheel. Repeat test with switch in position #9 for right front and #10 for rear wheels.

RESULTS POSSIBLE CAUSES REMEDY

No Fault Found
- Battery LED on
- Alternator LED on
- Solenoid valve LED on
- Pump motor LED on
- ABS indicator lamp off
- Return pump running
- Wheel should permit turning
Go to TEST STEP #12

Fault Found
- Battery LED off Motor relay defective, Replace motor relay,
- Alternator LED off Return pump defective, Replace hydraulic unit
- Solenoid valve LED off Solenoid valve defective
- ABS indicator lamp on
- Wheel cannot be turned
- Return pump not working
